Rated one of best in region and conference
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's 2008 soccer recruiting class has been ranked No. 28 in the Central Region and No. 2 in the Sun Belt Conference according to Soccer Buzz Magazine. This year's talented group of newcomers continues the trend of strong recruiting classes under sixth-year head coach Aston Rhoden, whose recruits have been ranked in the top 30 regionally four straight years.

Event set for 5 PM Saturday
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The annual Middle Tennessee soccer alumni game will be played Saturday at 5 PM at the Middle Tennessee Soccer Complex. Head Coach Aston Rhoden expects one of the largest groups of returning alumni for the game with 15-to-20 former players participating.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The first soccer match of Middle Tennessee's 2008 spring season against Tennessee Tech was scheduled for Wednesday but the Blue Raiders will have to wait 10 more days before taking the field against an actual opponent.

10 new players join Blue Raiders
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee soccer coach Aston Rhoden has announced the 2008 signing class and it includes incredible depth with 10 players entering the Blue Raider program. The signing class includes Laura Lamberth (White House, Tenn.), Elisabeth Sikes (Huntsville, Ala.), Jenna Bowers (Chandler, Az.), Charity Blair (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Jessica Heckman (Overland Park, Kan.), Ashli Julien (Columbus, Ga.), Heather McDonnell (Bedfordshire, England), Regina Thomas (Centennial, Colo.), Alyssa Palmacci (Plano, Texas), and Hope Suominen (Pontpridd, Wales).

Duo highly-successful on, off field
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee soccer players Holly Grogan and Kala Morgan have been named to the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region team. Grogan earned a spot on the All-South Region team for the second year while Morgan is on the team for the first time in her stellar Blue Raider career. The talented duo completed their Middle Tennessee career as two of the top performers in program history.
