The first 15 runners, along with the cheerleaders and Lightning, began the Raider Relay this morning at 10 a.m. at Floyd Stadium.

Director of Athletics Chris Massaro was the first runner, along with his wife, Cindy, and children, Hank and Lainey, as well as state senator Jim Tracy.

Head men's basketball coach Kermit Davis (center) ran with senator Tracy and his daughter, Claire.

Former Blue Raider All-American Don Griffin was the final runner in the Relay.

The final 15 runners gathered at Fannie Mae Dees Park at the end of the run along with President Sidney McPhee.

A large crowd filled the park for the Alumni Association's pregame tailgate and Dr. McPhee's words of encouragement for the runners.
