The Blue Raiders (10-3, 0-1) will begin the weekend by playing host to Florida International (12-3, 2-0) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3. Then the team will face Florida Atlantic (9-4, 2-0) on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.

Both the Golden Panthers and Owls defeated South Alabama and Troy in the first weekend of Sun Belt play posting a 2-0 conference record and sit atop the SBC East Division standings.

FIU is 6-2 in its last eight matches with wins over Oral Roberts, UCF and Penn. Yarimar Rosa leads the Golden Panthers in almost every category as she has 288 kills this season averaging 5.43 per set. Rosa also has 35 total blocks and 164 digs.

Middle Tennessee will look to regroup this weekend as it has lost its last two matches and is 1-3 in its last four.

Senior Ashley Asberry has led the Blue Raiders in the last four matches as she has notched 53 kills with eight errors. In the last two matches for Middle Tennessee, Asberry has an attack percentage of .767 with 34 kills and just one error as she is averaging 3.78 kills per set.

FAU is 5-2 in its last seven matches with wins over Texas A&M CC and Air Force. Krystena Castro is helping guide the team as she has 143 kills with a .369 attack percentage. Defensively, Castro has six solo blocks and 46 total blocks.
