MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Former Blue Raider Brett Carroll has been called back up to the major leagues after a rehab assignment in with the Jupiter Hammerheads in Jupiter, Fla.
Carroll entered Tuesday's game with the Atlanta Braves in the eighth inning to pinch-run for Luis Gonzalez. Carroll scored a run for the Marlins on an RBI single by John Baker tying the game at 14
Carroll then remained in the game to play left field. The Marlins lost 16-14 after the Braves scored two runs in the top of the ninth.
The Marlins will play the Braves in the final game of the series on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 12:10 CDT.
