Murfreesboro, Tenn., (August 5, 2008) -Middle Tennessee State University (MT) and The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), a division of IMG Worldwide, announced today that they have reached an agreement for CLC, the nation's oldest and largest collegiate licensing agency, to manage the University's trademark licensing program.

The agreement will give Middle Tennessee a greater ability to protect and market its brand through a comprehensive trademark-licensing program customized by CLC, which currently represents more than 200 collegiate properties. Prior to joining CLC, Middle Tennessee's licensing program, which began in 1998, was handled externally.
Middle Tennessee joins Arkansas State University, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, University of Louisiana-Monroe, University of North Texas, and Western Kentucky University to become the sixth Sun Belt Conference institution represented by CLC. CLC is also the licensing agent for the Sun Belt Conference.
