Hale leads Middle Tennessee through two rounds

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Freshman Morgan Hale shot a 9-over 153 in her first spring tournament and leads Middle Tennessee through two rounds at the UALR Women's Golf Classic at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark.

Middle Tennessee shot 619 as a team and is tied for seventh among the 21-team field entering Tuesday's final round. Tulsa and Florida International are tied for the lead at 29-over 605.

Hale had Middle Tennessee's low round with a 4-over 76 in the first round and followed with a 77 in the second. She was followed by Taryn Durham (155) and Jamey Dillard (155), who are tied at 29. Clara Leathers is tied for 34th with a 156, followed by Leigh Wilkins (161).
