Volleyball Closes Season Ranked

Final Poll Puts Blue Raiders 15

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee is the 15th-ranked team in the country to end the 2007 volleyball season as announced in the final AVCA poll on Wednesday.

This is the Blue Raiders second consecutive appearance in the poll after being voted 16th prior to the NCAA Regional tournament.

Middle Tennessee ended the season with the fourth best winning percentage in the country at 35-3 behind national champion Penn State, Stanford and Nebraska.

The Blue Raiders also made history during the 2007 season as the first Middle Tennessee team in any sport to advance to the round of 16 in any sport.

Head coach Matt Peck received South Region Coach of the Year while juniors Ashley Adams and Ashley Asberry each received Honorable Mention All-America honors.
