After being down by 25 in the first three minutes to start the second half, Middle Tennessee cut the lead to 12 twice thanks to the perimeter play of Keisha McClinic and Patrice Holmes. After Holmes' trey at the 12:45 mark, she was 0-4 from behind the arch to finish the game.

Down by 12 the Lady Raiders couldn't connect on key baskets and the Lady Bulldogs went on a 9-0 run in an eight-minute stretch. Holmes broke the scoring drought for the Lady Raiders with 1:58 left to play on a put back.

Middle Tennessee led the game with 14 steals and had 25 points off turnovers. The Lady Raiders also led in the paint as the team got 24 points to Georgia's 18.

Holmes led the Lady Raiders with 18 points and the junior guard is now only four points from hitting 1,000 points for a career. She also dished out five assists and had two steals.

Krystle Horton and McClinic each had eight points in the contest and Ciara Gray had six. Sophomore Tia Stovall was hampered by foul trouble and eventually fouled out but did score six points in the second half.

Middle Tennessee continues its road swing but they will be closer to home as the Lady Raiders travel to Nashville to take on Tennessee State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
