MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Middle Tennessee's 10th-ranked and top-seeded Daniel Klemetz won his opening match of the day but dropped his second on Friday at the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in Farmer's Branch, Texas.
Klemetz defeated 14th-ranked Jean Simon, 6-2, 6-2, the second time he has defeated the University of Texas senior. Klemetz then dropped a 2-6, 6-7 (6) decision to Vanderbilt's 38th-ranked Chad Harris Friday afternoon.
Klemetz ends the fall season 12-4 and should be ranked somewhere between fifth and eighth when fall rankings are released in December.
