Andrew Owusu serves as an assistant at Middle Tennessee, bringing a vast amount of experience in the horizontal jumps.

Owusu has been associated with the Middle Tennessee track program since 1999, and his contribution to the program solidifies its position as one of the premier institutions for long and triple jump in the Sun Belt Conference and the nation.

Owusu is a full-time assistant professor in the Health and Human Performance Department at Middle Tennessee. He has a wealth of international experience, including two World Championships, three Olympic games, one World Cup, and four All-Africa Games.

Owusu earned his bachelor's in biology from Alabama, where he garnered eight All-America honors. He held school records in both the long and triple jump upon graduation. Owusu completed an M.S.Ed. in sports administration and management at Wayne State College, and in 2004 earned a Ph.D. from Middle Tennessee in Human Performance.
